The Youth Climbing League

Founded in 1996, the Youth Climbing League (YCL) is Northern California’s longest-running indoor climbing competition league. Bringing together climbing teams from climbing gyms throughout the Bay Area, the YCL provides young climbers with an opportunity to compete in a fun, supportive and safe environment, to challenge themselves, to improve their climbing ability, and to make friends who climb.

The YCL’s goal is to get kids excited about indoor climbing and outdoor climbing, so that they can continue to discover the different sides of this multi-faceted, fulfilling sport.
